Starting in the depths of video tape operating with One Inch VTR's I systematically worked myself up through linear Platex and Grass Valley Editing Through the days of Betacam Sp editing. Experienced the wonder of PreRead on the D-3 Machines and how great was the first time i saw Digital Betacam. From starting to edit on South Africa's longest running a Daily Soap Opera, Moving into Documentary Editing then fearing the transition to Non-linear. The word AVID was fierce. But 13yrs after making the move I have been living AVID day in and night. Music Videos Reality Shows Magazine Programmes Variety Shows all became a usual time consumer, but more than other Reality. With shows like the local versions of Big Brother, Survivor, Idols where I played a crucial role in the post production. Television is fun, always was and always will be. There are no limits and an edit can only be as creative as a director's dreams.
