Biography
I have picked up many skills in a wide variety of creative media whilst taking part in my Fda Multimedia course, in Bournemouth University. These include camerawork of all types, including both still photography and creating documentary-style film. This course has also helped me by teaching me the process of documentary (and other film) production, teaching me industry techniques and general practices in all types of film- making. I have studied script-writing technique, as well as how to research relevantly and thoroughly.

I have taken experience in this specific industry, not only by working closely with Wildscreen in Bristol for the 2008 festival as a volunteer, but in Cape Town, working as an intern for NHU Africa and the Wildlife Film Academy. My roles in these positions including assisting in workshops, setting up trade shows, working with professional equipment and working with, and helping, students and professionals alike. I got this work as a way of finding my way into the industry of wildlife camerawork - which I plan to make a career of.

I have always felt close to wildlife and natural history, and feel very strongly about the issues of wildlife, and indeed global, conservation and the role the media has in creating awareness of these issues. I have, as stated, gone as far as South Africa for work and intern positions in the NHU and other companies in order to get a chance at a foot in the door. It is also relevant that, before University, I went traveling to Central America (from Mexico to Panama, over the course of 4 months) visiting every national park possible on the way down, and getting my PADI advanced underwater diver award in the hope that I have the chance to gain more qualifications and have the opportunity to work with underwater camera equipment, with a research, or production team.
