Atmosphere
Examples of wild tracks are traffic noise to accompany a street scene, or birdsong for an open country exterior. They are generally recorded in stereo and are used to add atmosphere to a scene. The atmos track can be recorded on location by the sound recordist as the scene is filmed, or sometimes the track can be added from library effects in the dubbing suite.
