If you are not editing at full broadcast resolution, and few productions do, you will need to autoconform. This is a technical session that takes your picture locked programme from offline and re-builds it from your rushes at full broadcast resolution in online. Autoconform works with the EDL, the in and out marks for each shot are recorded in the EDL and this dictates which shots the computer asks for from the rushes when making the conform tape. From now on you will work with this version of your programme.
