Changing Bag

A light tight bag in which film is loaded and unloaded from the magazine to the film can. A sort of mini portable darkroom.
The clapper loader or camera assistant will load and unload the film magazines inside the light tight changing bag. It requires good housekeeping skills to make sure that you've got everything you need inside the bag before opening a film tin or magazine. The consequences of getting this operation wrong are very severe indeed and might end up destroying the unexposed film or worse still the exposed rushes! It's also important to keep the interior of the changing bag and your hands clean as any dirt which finds its way into the magazine can result in a hair in the gate.
