Clamshell
A portable battery powered combined DVCam recorder and monitor.
A clamshell is often used on location for reviewing rushes or other reference material. It's also good for recording the output of a video assist unit when shooting with a film camera. Takes can then be reviewed to check action before moving on to the next set up.
