Digitise

You can digitise at full resolution, which is useful if you have shot on DVCAM and you are onlining your film in the same suite. Digitising at DVCAM Res means you can transfer your cut programme's data to an online suite and continue the process there.

If you've shot on anything more expensive than a DVCAM, then you'll be digitising at a suitable cutting res and going for an autoconform before you start to online.

Some disc based cameras allow you to digitise at higher speeds via firewire, but some disc rushes are still working in real time at the digitising stage.
