Diopter

Diopters are used for close up work allowing a subject to be closer to the lens and still be in focus. They are single element lenses which attach to the front of the lens in use and come in a series of +1, +2, +3, etc. Each higher number allows for the subject to be focussed closer to the lens. Diopters can combined and can be used on zoom lenses
