EDL
This stands for Edit Decision List and is a post production term.
An EDL can be output after you complete your offline edit and will assist you in your autoconform, and another can be generated if you ask for it at the end of your online. An EDL can be delivered on a disc or printed out to assist you
with post production paperwork and will identify source rolls for every shot in
your programme; this is essential if you have a lot of archive in your film, which needs to be timed and costed for licences. Most broadcasters now ask for
an EDL as part of the paperwork deliverables.
