End Board

This is using the slate board at the end of the action or take rather than the beginning.

The slate board is held upside down and the words "end board" are spoken to indicate that it is an end board. This clearly signifies to the editor that the end board refers to the preceding action. End boards are used when it is physically difficult to place the slate board in shot at the beginning of a take in which case the Camera Operator will zoom out or re-frame after the action to shoot the slate board before cutting the camera. An end board is also used when the action is sensitive and the sound of the clapper may disturb the scene as in observational documentary filming.
