Filters for lenses
Filters are used to achieve effects and to control the image. There are many different types of filter available and are usually part of a cinematographer's personal camera package, some of which may be custom made to suit a particular requirement. Examples are: Soft focus or frost filters such as Promist, Neutral Density (ND), Colour Grads, Low Contrast, Polariser and many more. A common size is square 4" x 4" although different sizes are available for wide screen formats
