Filming during the hour around sunrise and sunset to capture the most beautiful light
People often talk about filming in the golden or magic hour and this is the hour or so around dawn or dusk. With the sun at a low angle creating long shadows and warm golden light, it is a spectacular time of day to film landscapes or cityscapes. As the sun rises or sets, the
colour temperature of the light is very low and will give a red to yellow cast to your pictures. Golden hour is in fact very short lived and in some cases will only last around 10 minutes so you'll have to be prepared and work your set ups quickly before the light disappears.
