HDCAM SR

A superior version of the HDCAM high definition video format. Used for high end post production.

Sony introduced HDCAM SR in 2004 as a high definition video post production mastering format which is used for feature film, drama, commercials and high end documentaries. HDCAM SR uses ultra mild signal compression and encodes using RGB 4:4:4 at a bit rate of up to 880Mbps which offers the very best in picture quality. It also has the ability to record 12 uncompressed audio tracks making it perfect for multi channel surround sound mastering.

Record time Small Cassette: up to 40 mins

Record time Large Cassette: up to 124 mins
