LCD

LCD Flat Screen Monitor
LCD is the abbreviation for Liquid Crystal Display and is a thin, flat screen monitor for viewing video pictures
LCD monitors have recently become widely used in all areas of television production. They offer bright, high resolution pictures, consume a lot less power and are much lighter than their CRT equivalent.  They come in a range of sizes. Smaller units can be fitted to the top of a camera or held by the director to view the camera's output. Larger LCD monitors are used for many applications including editing, lighting reference, Autocue and general viewing.
