Magic arm

Manfrotto magic arm
A flexible, articulated joint for positioning a small lighting unit.

This is a very versatile and much used device. One end of the magic arm can for example be clamped to a shelf with the other end supporting a small lighting unit such as a dedo light. The articulated arm is adjusted to place the lamp in the right place and then locked off in position. This allows the lamp to be place in otherwise awkward positions where a lighting stand would be in shot or otherwise impractical.

Also a favourite with the sound department.
