OMF

Stands for Open Media Framework Interchange. A method of moving sound files to different post production sessions

This is a sound file made at the end of an offline edit to carry the sound data across to tracklay. It includes all the audio from your edited film including fade ins and outs. There are various types of OMF and you need to ask your sound post production house which kind they prefer.
