Soundstage

The name for a studio which is sound proofed and used for sync sound shooting.

A truly quiet soundstage is rarely found and probably going to cost a lot of money to hire. Whilst this may be justifiable for large scale or feature film production, most production budgets wont stretch that far and you'll have to accept something less than perfect. However, this is not normally a problem since many studios are quite capable of hosting a sync sound shoot, even if you have to wait for the occaisional external noise to pass.
