A term used to describe shot size

Wide Shot is often abbreviated to WS and this term appears in a script, storyboard or shotlist to describe the size of the shot. It can relate to a person, a room interior, a landscape, a building exterior or just about any other subject you're shooting.

For a shot of a person, a WS will include all of the person from head to toe as well as a lot of the environment around them. If it's a group of people, then it will include all of them and their surroundings.For a building, you'll see all of the building, and so on.
