Biography

Gary is an experienced freelance sound recordist working extensively throughout the UK and abroad, with bases in Bristol and London.

He has worked on a huge variety of programmes for all the major broadcasters and large independent production companies, as well as many television commercials, drama and corporate productions.

Recent highlights include:

Working as Sound Supervisor for BBC1’s “Turn Back Time: The High Street”, following a group of shop-keeping families transported back to the birth of the high street in the 1870s, and propelled through a century of change, right up to the modern era and the 1970s.

He was also "Grammy Award winning Director" Brian Grants first choice recordist for "Project Lotus"  - a feature length documentary following auditions to find the worlds first Pan Asian girl band - filming in China, Japan, Korea, Philippines and India.

Familiar with all the latest recording formats, Gary comes fully equipped to solve your sound recording problems on location. He has built up a comprehensive personal sound kit, which is always available to production.

Gary is a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable member of any team, able to make contributors feel comfortable with relative ease. Add to that a great sense of humour and the ability to get on with just about anyone, makes Gary an asset to any production.
