Joa Czogalla is a German lighting and directing cameraman and Steadicam operator who specializes in documentary, TV commercial, science/educational TV program and corporate work. With over 16 years experience as a freelance film professional, Joa has worked for some of the biggest names in documentary broadcasting including Arte, BBC, Discovery and National Geographic. Over the last 6 years he has shot all over Asia, including commercials and corporates for Siemens, Herrenknecht, Porsche, Mercedes Benz, BMW and many others.

Joa provides full production services through his wide network of media professionals such as bilingual producers, international production companies, editors with their own FCP and Autodesk® Smoke® working stations, directors, assistants, sound technicians, boom-cameramen, gaffer, film and car grip, air cam and other talents.

Joa works in all available SD & HD camera formats in NTSC and PAL like XDCAM, P2, Arri Alexa, Red Epic & RED One and and DSLR cameras with HD video functions. He has established relationships with a number of Equipment rental houses in Shanghai and Beijing.

Joa speaks - besides his mother tongue German - English, French and basic Mandarin and works with bilingual camera assistants. He is based in Shanghai with strong production links in the Philippines and South Korea.
