Originally a photographer, and now a freelance HD Lighting Cameraman / Director of Photography - I spent my formative years at the BBC, and left in 2002 as a Lighting Cameraman experienced in both Drama and Documentary.
I now try to maintain a balance between all genres, and during the last ten years, can include both Natural History and Adventure/Expedition filming to them.
From being the D.O.P. on the award winning "Mary Queen of Scots" to an eighteen week expedition with Bruce Parry on his BAFTA award winning series "Bruce Parry's Amazon". From working with Bear Grylls in the Sahara to filming the race to the South Pole with Ben Fogle and James Cracknell, or with actress Sue Johnstone in China to living with the Tuareg in North Africa. From filming the Humpback Whales of Alaska for the NHU, to Robson Green on Ascension Island. Having just returned from an awesome 5 week expedition through Brazil and Guyana for CBBC's "Serious Explorers" - life continues to be exciting, challenging and a great privilege.
