Mark Richards

Mark has a great wealth of film editing experience and has cut numerous D&AD and BTAA award winning commercials like Sony, Carling Black Label "Dambusters" and "Launderette", VW and Audi. He has edited with some of the biggest names in advertising such as Roger Woodburn, Mehdi Norowzian, Jorn Haagen, Joe Public and Barney Cokeliss.

Mark has been working in film editing since 1981. After learning to edit film on Moviolas and Steenbecks, he learnt to cut on Avid Media Composer in 1992 and has, as you would expect in that time, developed excellent technical skills. He also has a deep knowledge of all aspects of post-production, a very good understanding of supporting applications and is always willing and eager to learn new systems and software. Mark likes to see all his projects through to the end, from quoting on all aspects of the post production process, to the completion of the final master. All of this, combined with a great attention to detail and superb narrative and creative skills, makes Mark an ideal Film Editor.

Having worked in the UK, US, Europe and South Africa, he is highly adaptable to different situations and editing environments.

He genuinely loves what he does and this passion and enthusiasm comes across in his work.
