Experienced Sound Recordist at home in all environments from jungles & deserts to ice caps & mountains

A London based Sound Recordist, Experienced Boom Operator and Comms Engineer, I have worked on a varied range of genres including dramas, format shows, music videos, factual documentaries, commercials, corporate web-casts and music promos. My career began with Transmission TX Ltd (Shepperton Studios) where I was responsible for capturing audio on single and multi-camera shoots, Specifying systems & first-line maintenance before setting up on my own as a freelancer. I own my kit which consists of a range of microphones (Sennheiser MKH416, Sanken Cos-11’s & DPA4060s) a custom made SQN5sII broadcast quality location mixer, Sennheiser & Micron radio systems and huge array of accessories for both capturing sound and making a production run smoothly.

Thomas studied film production at the University of Buffalo, and worked as a broadcast engineer before moving to Los Angeles in 2001. Since then, he has worked on feature film, commercials and television shows big and small, travelling as far as Bermuda, Korea, and Alaska. Toms brother Brian moved out in 2006 and Curley Sound was formed. We continue to pursue excellent production sound the world around!

I work as a location sound recordist, mixer and boom op for any kind of visual production. I do a lot of audio post production; mainly foley, dubbing mixing, sound and dialogue editing, tracklaying whole programmes and features, recording sound FX, sound design, composition, and so much more.
