Getting the right documentation

Correct documentation
Whether you send equipment as freight or as accompanied baggage, you must have the proper documentation:
If your trip involves a stop in a ‘Carnet country’ you must use an ATA Carnet.
If you’re not using a Carnet, you should use a Duplicate List
See guide to duplicate lists
At the very least, have a detailed list of the equipment you are taking with descriptions, serial numbers and value and make several copies on your official letter headed paper.
It’s also a good idea to have a letter on a ‘To whom it may concern’ basis explaining why you are travelling and what you are filming.
